Seiko Sardonyx Stone Dial 6020-5260 with Silver Hard Alloy Cobalt Case (SHAC)
Stone dials don't have to break the bank. Seiko have been making stone dials in the 70's, including the watch listed here. This example is a rare sardonyx dial, a banded chalcedony quartz with a mixture of reddish sard and onyx. The case is a unique alloy called Silver Hard Alloy Cobalt, or SHAC. This is an alloy that was marketed by Seiko as being extra durable. Indeed, it measures 700 on the Vickers hardness scale. By comparison, 316L steel measures around 150-200.
This piece is a unique blend of refinement and innovation that still stands out today.

This example is from 1980 and is in excellent condition. There are marks on the case from wear. Crystal is clean. The movement is running without issue and watch is paired with a brand new lizard grain strap from Handdn.

Case is 30mm x 35mm
