The Movado Ermeto is a pocket/purse watch which was produced starting in the 1920’s. The word Ermeto is derived from “hermetic, sealed”. This is in reference to the two sliding covers which can enclose the timepiece inside.

This example was owned by the wife of a Professional hockey player who was drafted in the first round of the NHL in the 1970’s, but went on to play professionally in Europe. She obtained this watch around 50 years ago from a friend who noticed her admiration for it. She made sure to take great care of it throughout the years, as can be seen by the great condition of the dial and leather cover.
